DIY Handmade Doilies 7 comments

Hearts

While I was recuperating this week after my bout with the bad food I ate and happily report I’m all better, I have been making some crochet doilies, something I have never done, I only know a few stitches but managed to put these together after studying some others online for starters. And I was having a hard time finding doilies for projects so I decided to give them a try.  I need much practice and the offer of help from my neighbor. And there are so many great video tutorials on YouTube. And my first strawberry pincushion.

Thank you for your prayers, Im still not quit right, food poisoning is nothing to mess with. Thanks for your kind words for my doilies, dont think I would be taking on a poncho. And your right about using them on projects I pan on using one or several on another an altered egg carton. Hugs

Goodness for someone who doesn’t know how to crochet your off to a good start. I’m a amazed. I learned the chain stitch when I was a little girl but that’s about all I can do. The strawberry pin cushion is adorable. Is there any sewing on a sewing machine with that? If not I would love a tutorial.
I think the more u crochet the better you will become at it.
Hope your feeling better. Never had food poisoning but I heard it can be quite nasty. Scrappy hugs. Paulie

Wow, I’m impressed. for a beginner, these are great! I used to crochet but could only do blankets (aka, simple straight rows), the circles were near impossible for me. My mother in law is a great crocheter and has made clothing, valances, table runners, blankets and tablecloths! She amazes me. Thanks for linking up with #smallvictoriessunday last week. Sorry it’s taken me so long to stop by and pin but hope you link up again this week!
