Getting Nutty With Baskets

Making a gift basket for someone often shows that you put thought into what you’re giving. When you begin putting the basket together, think about the things that will last the longest and the items that the person might like. Nut gift baskets are a good option as long as the person isn’t allergic to the food.

The basket should be large enough for the nuts and containers that you want to include and can be the same color as some of the nuts that are included, such as a light brown for walnuts or peanuts or a darker brown for pecans. Try to include a few items that are made with nuts instead of just putting a few bags of nuts in the basket to give as a gift. Candies, brownies, and cakes are examples of things that would be good to include along with a beverage or two that will go well with the flavors, such as beer if the person drinks alcohol or wine if you’re trying to make more of an elegant basket.

Aside from nuts and items made with nuts, you can also include a few dried fruits or a few fresh fruits. Chocolate candies also go well with this gift basket food. A flat box is an option to consider so that you can divide it into sections. Each section can contain a different kind of nut, candy, or dried fruit so that the person has an assortment.

Peanut butter is a good item to include in your basket along with a few kinds of jams or jellies. Make a classy nut basket by putting the different varieties in small jars and tying a ribbon around the top of each jar. Place the jars in a bed of decorative material along with a small bottle of wine and a wine glass or two.
