Benefits of Polyaspartic Coating

One clear advantage is that you save on cost. Since you only apply one coat compared to two with epoxy, you get the most value for your money. The workers will finish earlier than usual, which is good news if you pay them by the hour.

Meanwhile, polyaspartic coating is also softer and more versatile since it offers higher resistance to chemicals and impact compared to epoxy. For instance, underwater pipes, which are exposed to intense pressure, will perform better when coated with polyaspartic paint.

Its anti-corrosive properties also make it the ideal option for automotive, construction and agricultural industries, heavy equipment, and power stations. But the high resistance to abrasion also makes it the perfect product to coat your restaurant, shopping mall, or hotel, where there is a high volume of foot traffic.

In terms of curing, the substance requires less time to do so. Manufacturers can do this by manipulating the esters that are present in polyurethanes. Since the chemical cures quickly, it causes minimal disruption to your operations. In fact, polyaspartic coating can also be calibrated to be applied on surfaces even at below-freezing temperatures.

Also, workers would be safer when they coat surfaces in confined environments. When you have poor ventilation, and they get exposed to chemical paint, it could pose serious risks to their health. However, polyaspartic coating emits low or zero volatile organic compounds, which would be ideal in tight spaces.

As you can see, polyaspartic coating is better compared to epoxy or urethane. Even if it is more expensive compared to both options, you get the most value for your money in the end.
