Oh My Heartsie Girls Wonderful Wednesday

I’m sure many of you have been reading about my husband and after the angiogram, 2 stents, a new pacemaker, and defibrillator, after coming home from the hospital he was ok for 1 week but he just could not gain strength and he started having shortness of breath. It is with great sadness that my husband Don was called home to the Lord on Wednesday, June 12th, 2019, he passed away at home. It leaves a hole in my heart and my life as I was his caregiver for the past 5 years. There were so many things as you can imagine I did for him and I am told he was spoiled, but thats what I liked to do for him. My emotions are all over the place with the new responsibilities of running our companies business now with my son Justin to step and his comfort me!! He has been in the manufacturing of an organic soil supplement for 27 years for us and it was Dons dream to help the poor with our product to help them create a job and provide chemical-free fruits and vegetables for their families. It is an entanglement of tasks I am undertaking, hopefully, things will smooth out in time. We had a celebration of life with his twin daughters from Florida, my daughter, and granddaughter from Salt Lake, Justin and I. I am comforted through my faith that he is in Gods hands and no longer suffering from all his ailments and that we will meet again someday!

  1. I’m sorry to hear about Don’s passing, my prayers are with you and your family. I know that it’s a shock and an impossible time and continuing on seems beyond difficult. It’s a wonderful thing that your son is there to help you and that you and your family had a celebration of life. Things will indeed smooth out in time.

  2. Thanks for hosting! This week I am bringing a BBQ Chicken and Smoked Gouda mac and cheese with Bacon, just for the adults! A Coca Cola BBQ Sauce for using on the grill and a Grilled Pork and Sweet Potato Kabobs that will delight everyone. Enjoy!

  3. Oh, I just read your note about your dear husband’s passing, and am so sorry to hear that. I pray that you and your family will find great comfort in knowing you will see him again in heaven–this is just a temporary separation. But it’s hard nonetheless because we miss our loved ones so much. May the Lord surround you with His love and peace now and in the days ahead.

  4. I am so sorry about Don and will keep you and your family lifted in prayer. You now have an angel in heaven interceding and looking out for you. It is my pleasure to co-host #omhgww with you.

  5. I continue to send prayers to you Karren, I know first hand how overwhelming it is to all of a sudden be in charge. I am so glad you have your son to help and comfort you. Thank you for continuing to host, keeping your routine really helps during this time of loss…

  6. Karen,
My prayers are with you, for comfort and peace. I know how hard it is to be widowed and although it has been almost 15 years, the pain can still bubble upward. My love and hugs to you and Justin! I am praying that you receive a sign from Don, that shows he is looking down with love and much care for you both. Look for feathers, coins, rainbows, scents, songs, birds, and other things that Don may send to show his love. Expect them at times you won’t expect them! God bless you.

  7. Still thinking of you and your loss. I’ve been there….not with a spouse but with other loved ones and it’s hard. prayers for strength in the days to come. Teresa

  8. Thanks for letting me share on this weeks party! I love your site Karren and enjoy reading it and connecting with others. Take care,
