I hope you all had a wonderful and enjoyable Thanksgiving, for me it was with my beloved son, he made a deep fried turkey and of course some of our favorites, nothing to fancy. Our house is in the middle of a Slab Leak, more about that in another post, but I can tell you it is a mess.

Karren, I’m afraid to even ask what a slab leak is! Looking forward to hearing more about it, wonder if it’s something I need to worry about. Thank you so much for hosting.
Hi Jean, thanks for your comment, well a slab leak is when there is a “water leak” under the “foundation” and seeps through the floor, and there were 2 leaks both in the hot water side. I have a feeling it has to do with the horrible water we have here in Vegas, it errods away copper pipe. They had to reroute the hot water to all sinks and bathrooms. But in the process of repairs, they are now going to replace all flooring throughout my house, minus the bedrooms because they wont be able to match it. Plus patch up all plasterboard they cut through to get to the pipes and then paint. So in preparation for them to start work, I have to remove all things on tables, in or on any furniture that has to be moved out, living room, dining room, den, and office and hopefully the insurance will do the moving of furniture and they may need to bring a POD. Waiting on insurance approval, then it will be about 2 more weeks, needless to say, I wont have much energy left to do holiday decor, maybe the door wreath and a few things in the kitchen. Thank goodness it is not my house, but I have great landlords.
What I did find out is that the insurance does not pay for the plumbers time but I think the parts. So far the people that have been here to work have been really competent and friendly, and boy did I ask a lot of questions.
