A Valentine Wreath Of Repurposed TP Rolls

I found inspiration for this wreath on a blog that shared on my Friday Features Party on Jan 24th. I changed it up some,
but I still really love the look of hers, the paint is darker and it seems more delicate, she actually used real Ivy leaves.

Toilet Paper Heart Wreath-Oh My Heartsie Girl

What you need are toilet paper rolls, about 30 is what I used for the wreath but it will depend on the size of wreath you are creating. I had everything at home for my project, I like it like that. I already have so many craft supplies I didnt want to spend any money on more. So pretty much-repurposed supplies.
•A wire coat hanger, heavy-duty craft wire or a wire wreath from the craft store. Coat hanger from the closet
•Red paint & brush from craft supplies when I was more actively creating
•Red Ribbon from my Christmas decorations
•Greenery from another project
•Stapler from my husband’s desk
I used a coat hanger and had my son shape into a heart and wire the ends together. He didn’t ask nor did we discuss how I would get the tp rolls on the heart, I was thinking I would thread them on but because the wire was so strong he knew in foresight, I would not be able to unwind with my hands so he closed it tight with pliers. Sooo I decided I would paint the tp rolls and then cut them in thirds and then cut them open, slip them on and staple them shut. Worked perfectly.

The next step was to add ribbon to stabilize the tp rolls as they kept slipping down. I think it really made this pretty, what do you think?
Then I added some ivy I cut up in smaller pieces in strategic places for my eyes appeal.
Did I get it right?

I had a thought that I could add a bow to the center at the top by opted to leave it simple. And here’s another Valentine Wreath I made in 2016
